RADIESSE®

Restylane, Restylane-L®, Restylane® Silk, Perlane®, and Perlane-L® are all members of the Restylane family of products. These products are made of a clear gel formulation of hyaluronic acid, which is biocompatible with the human body and eventually broken down naturally. They can be used individually to add volume and fullness to your lips (Restylane, Restylane-L and Restylane Silk only), or to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds).

Injectable Gels

About Restylane® injectable gels

Restylane works immediately by adding volume to smooth away wrinkles. A clear gel formulation of hyaluronic acid, Restylane is specifically formulated to act like your body's own hyaluronic acid, and eventually breaks down naturally. Restylane, Restylane-L and Restylane Silk are the only products FDA approved for lip enhancement in patients over 21 years, and are uniquely formulated to give your lips fullness and definition.

About Restylane-L® injectable gels

Like Restylane, Restylane-L can also be used to add volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds). But, by combining lidocaine with Restylane, Restylane-L can help reduce discomfort during and after treatment.

In clinical studies evaluating the Restylane family of products in laugh lines (nasolabial folds): 72% of patients reported significantly less pain during treatment with Restylane-L vs. Restylane, and Patients continued to experience less discomfort for up to one hour after treatment when compared to Restylane.

Restylane® Silk

Designed specifically for lips and the lines around them

Restylane Silk Is the first and only FDA-approved product specifically designed for subtle lip enhancement and the smoothing of wrinkles and lines around the mouth in patients over 21 years of age. Unlike Restylane and Restylane-L, Restylane Silk is specially designed for use only in the lips.

What makes Restylane Silk Different From Other Restylane Products?

Like other areas of the face, the lips and skin surrounding the mouth show signs of aging as an individual gets older. This often results in lip thinning, lost shape and an increase in vertical lines above the lip.

Restylane Silk is designed specifically to provide natural-looking results in these areas. That's why it's made of smaller, smoother particles than those used in other Restylane products.

Perlane® & Perlane-L®

How does Perlane work?

Just like Restylane®, Perlane is a clear gel formulation of hyaluronic acid that is specifically formulated to act like your body's own hyaluronic acid, adding volume and fullness to the skin.

What makes Perlane Different From Restylane?

What makes Perlane different than Restylane is the average size of the particles and the depth of injection, which means it's a good choice for more severe facial wrinkles that benefit from a deeper injection into the skin. In three clinical studies, 63%, 71% and 75% of patients maintained improvement for six months after just one Perlane treatment.

FAQ

  • WHAT TYPES OF SCARS CAN BE TREATED?

All scars, anywhere on the body including: acne scars, surgical scars, burn scars, and trauma scars.

  • HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT TAKE?

The treatment can be performed in as little as 30 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area.

  • DOES IT HURT?

The laser treatment causes only minimal discomfort. Patients often say it feels similar to the snap of a rubber band. Slight redness or localized swelling can occasionally occur, but this usually subsides within the first 24 hours after treatment.

  • HOW MANY SESSIONS ARE REQUIRED?

Typically, patients will see results in 4 - 6 treatments, though this number will vary based upon skin tone, hair color and several other factors. Your doctor or practitioner will talk to you about variables that may affect your individual results.

  • ABLATIVE LASER VS. NON-ABLATIVE LASER?

Ablative lasers are slightly more invasive than non-ablative and have a longer recovery time. Ablative lasers vaporize the outer layers of skin causing the skin to heal and increase the production of new collagen. They are more effective, produce result with fewer treatments, and are typically used for wrinkle and sun damage. Non-ablative lasers have little to no recovery and are less aggressive. Non-ablative lasers heat up the targeted tissue without destroying it and work well for scar revision and stretch marks.

  • WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER TREATMENT?

Treated skin area may appear red or irritated for a few days after treatment. It is also important to keep it out of direct sun exposure for a few weeks. Typically, you may resume your daily activities immediately following the treatment session.

  • HOW MUCH DOES THE PROCEDURE COST?

Pricing varies based on body and skin types along with combined procedures performed. Please call or schedule a consultation for more information.
