Facial Liposuction

Facial liposuction can be performed in our center with conscious sedation and takes a couple of hours. It can also be performed in conjunction with other facial rejuvenation procedures such as a lower facelift, eyelid surgery, or brow lift.

Facial liposuction is a two-part process:

Liposuction is first used in the face to remove localized deposits of fat cells from the neck, chin, jawline, or cheek. Fatty tissue is removed with a specialized needle called a cannula, and once the fat is removed, it is purified by allowing it to separate from the excess fluid before reintroducing back into the face.

The face will then be artistically injected with the purified adipose cells in more beneficial areas for a fuller, more youthful face. Facial fat transfer can help with wrinkle lines between nose and mouth, skin depressions, enrich lips, recessed cheeks, minimize wrinkles, and provide an overall more youthful appearance.

Swelling and bruising are the most common post-operative side effects. These symptoms usually resolve in 2-3 weeks, however, it is possible to resume daily activities after just a couple of days. Patients can expect to see results within a few weeks, with improvements continuing on for the next few months after their surgery.
