Facial Liposuction

Stubborn fat deposits surrounding the neck, chin, and cheeks, can often be very resilient to dieting and exercise, and can make you feel insecure. Facial Liposuction, with the addition of fat transfer, offers a simple solution by removing excess fat tissue, and then reintroducing it into more beneficial locations. This procedure is a safe and efficient way to reveal more defined contours in your face and jaw, helping you look younger and slimmer.

PROCEDURE

Facial liposuction can be performed in our center with conscious sedation and takes a couple of hours. It can also be performed in conjunction with other facial rejuvenation procedures such as a lower facelift, eyelid surgery, or brow lift.

Facial liposuction is a two-part process:

  1. Liposuction is first used in the face to remove localized deposits of fat cells from the neck, chin, jawline, or cheek. Fatty tissue is removed with a specialized needle called a cannula, and once the fat is removed, it is purified by allowing it to separate from the excess fluid before reintroducing back into the face.
  2. The face will then be artistically injected with the purified adipose cells in more beneficial areas for a fuller, more youthful face. Facial fat transfer can help with wrinkle lines between nose and mouth, skin depressions, enrich lips, recessed cheeks, minimize wrinkles, and provide an overall more youthful appearance.

There is no risk of allergic reactions due to the use of the patient’s own adipose (fat) tissue, and can be a longer lasting alternative compared to facial filler injections. RECOVERY

Swelling and bruising are the most common post-operative side effects. These symptoms usually resolve in 2-3 weeks, however, it is possible to resume daily activities after just a couple of days. Patients can expect to see results within a few weeks, with improvements continuing on for the next few months after their surgery.
