Laser Hair Removal

Unlike shaving that lasts days, waxing that needs to be repeated every few weeks, or tedious electrolysis, permanent hair reduction is a lasting solution that takes away the everyday hassle of dealing with unwanted facial and body hair. Just a few simple treatments are all it takes to minimize hair growth for good.

With light-based hair removal, you can get the touchable skin you’ve always wanted. All you need is a few simple treatments to get lasting results. The secret lies in the technology that targets and destroys hair cells responsible for hair growth without harming the surrounding skin. This treatment is fast, easy and practically pain free.

How It Works

The technology works by targeting and destroying the hair cells responsible for hair growth without harming the surrounding skin. The laser emits gentle pulses of energy that pass through the skin to the hair follicle. This energy is then absorbed into the hair follicle to destroy it so that is unlikely to grow there again. This approach is fast, simple, with each treatment complete in just minutes. The technology is TGA approved and works on a variety of skin types.

The ideal candidate has realistic expectations for the procedure, is in good medical health, can commit to the recovery time, and is aware of the risks involved. Laser hair removal can be applied to all areas of the body and on all types of skin (even tanned or dark skin). The only way to know for sure if laser hair removal is right for you is to speak with your laser technician. With our state of the art technology, we are able to safely treat all skin types. For best results, we recommend avoiding sun exposure before treatment.
The most common areas to have treated for women: legs, bikini, underarms, and face.

Common treatment areas for men: back, chest, and jawline.

Depending on the treatment area, it can take as little as 5 minutes for a small area, and about a half hour for larger areas.
The laser treatment causes only minimal discomfort. Patients often say it feels similar to the snap of a rubber band. Slight redness or localized swelling can occasionally occur, but this usually subsides within the first 24 hours after treatment.
Hair grows in cycles, and only about one-third of a patient’s hair is visible above the skin at any time. Since this treatment only targets hair in the active phase of growth, several treatment sessions are needed to affect all of your unwanted hair. Typically, patients will see results in 5 – 8 treatments, though this number will vary based upon skin tone, hair color and several other factors. Your doctor or practitioner will talk to you about variables that may affect your individual results.
You can resume regular daily activities immediately following the treatment. Typically, most people experience a mild, sunburn-like sensation possibly accompanied by some minor swelling immediately following the treatment. This usually lasts two to 24 hours. Treated skin area may appear red or irritated. It is also important to keep it out of direct sun exposure for a few weeks.
Pricing varies based on body and skin types along with combined procedures performed. Please call or schedule a consultation for more information.
